Cierra Powell
Cierra Powell is t.Lab’s “Student of the Month.” Cierra joined t.Lab in April 2019. Cierra is an exceptional talent with a tremendous legacy, intellect and an extremely bright future.
As a 12th grade student at Detroit’s Cass Technical High School, Cierra has an overall GPA of 4.1 and a composite ACT score of 31. She is a fierce competitor and seeks excellence in every aspect of her life. Cierra’s immediate goals are to realize a composite ACT score of 36 and obtain a full ride scholarship to a tier 1 university while pursuing a career as an anesthesiologist.
Cierra’s favorite subjects are Math and Science. An accomplished entrepreneur, Cierra is the founder of C Michele Hair Collections, a successful hair care business. She has multiple interests including health care, hair care, and fashion. Her top 3 colleges and universities are: University of Michigan; Michigan State University, and Spelman College.
Cierra has been accepted and invited into the honors colleges at the University of Michigan, and Michigan State University. She is a member of the National Society of High School Scholars and a member of the Midnight Golf Program. Cierra is a past member of Michigan State University’s Detroit Future Docs program. She has been offered several scholarships.
Cierra maintains a rigorous academic and professional development regimen. Over the next few years, we are confident that she will continue her pursuit of academic excellence in health care while realizing a MCAT score of 520 or better. Cierra will attend and complete several health care internships and research projects.
Cierra is competitive and driven. She receives love, guidance, and active support in personal and professional development from her parents, Mr. Brian and Mrs. Alana Norris, and a contingent of successful family and external family members.
